Usage: approx. 400 (500) g Cl. 01 (ocean colour)
Needle size:
Circular knitting needle 3.0 - 4.0
Sample:
garter right: RSR and BR: knt. ri S
plain right: RSR: ri S, BR: knt. le S
Hole pattern: (Stitch number divisible by 4 plus 2 ES)
Work according to knitting chart. Only the RSR are shown; in the BR, knt. all S and yov. le, with 2 yov., knt. the 1st yov. le, the 2nd yov. ri interlaced.
Always rpt. the 1st - 4th R.
End stitch: lft at row start, knt. ri at row end.
Stitch test:
Hole pattern: 23 S x 30 R = 10 cm x 10 cm
plain right: 22 S x 29 R = 10 cm x 10 cm
Instructions: (differing information for sizes 40/42 are in brackets)
Back:
Cast on 106 (118) S and knt. 2 ES, 1 BR ri S and 4 R plain right, at the row start, knt. the S after the ES garter right and at the row end, knt the S before the ES garter right. Then continue working in the hole pattern as follows: ES, 1 S garter right, 104 (116) S hole pattern (= knt. 26 (29) x the repeating pattern), 1 S garter right, ES In a total height of 10 cm (= 29 R) (= end of the side slit), continue knt. the garter right after the ES and plain right before the ES.
In a total height of 42 (44) cm (= 125 (131) R), cast off cast off 9 S on both sides for the sleeve holes. (= 90 (102) S) and continue working as follows: ES 88 (100) S hole pattern (= knt. 22 (25) x the repeating pattern), ES
For the rear neckline section at 58 (62) cm total height (= 173 (185) R), co the middle 38 (42) S in the following RSR and end both sides separately. For the inner curvature on the neckline, in each 2nd. R, cast off another 2 x 2 S. In the following RSR, co. straight the remaining 22 (26) shoulder stitches.
Front
Work in the same wa as the back section, but 8 cm shorter. At 2 cm (= 5 R) height (= end of the side slit) with the start of the hole pattern, always knt. the S after the row start and the S before the ES at the row end plain right. In a total height of 34 (36) cm (= 101 (107) R), co. the sleeve holes in the same way as the back part.
For the lower neckline, already at a total height of 44 (48) cm (= 131 (143) R), co. the middle 32 (36) S in the following RSR and end both sides separately. For the inner curvature on the neckline, in each 2nd. R, co. another 1 x 3 S, 1 x 2 S and 2 x 1 S and continue knt. straight up. Co. the remaining 22 (26) shoulder stitches at the same height as the back part.
Sleeve:
Cast on 52 (56) S and 2 ES, knt. plain right 1 BR ri S and 4 (3) cm (= 12 (8) R). Then continue working between the ES in hole pattern (= knt. 13 (14) x the repeating pattern). For the sleeve slant in the 3rd R, pck. 1 S on each of both sides from the start of the hole pattern. (= at row start after the ES and at row end before the ES, knt. each 1 S re interlaced from the cross stitch). Rpt. these pickups another 13 (16) x in each 6th R (= 82 (92) S). First knt. the picked up S plain right and add each one after 4 increments (= 1 repeating pattern = 4 S) to the hole pattern. At a total height of 36 (40) cm (= 107 (119) R), co. all S straight in the following RSR, knt. the S. Prepare a 2nd sleeve in exactly the same way.
Finishing:
Close the 1st shoulder seam flat. Pick approx. 116 (124) S out of the neckline edge, knt. 1 BR le S. Then co. the S and knt. ri S. The second shoulder seam. Insert the sleeves (see sectional sketch) and also close the side and sleeve seams flat.
