Tension sample:
Pullover:
Cuff pattern (measured unstretched): 18 st x 20 r = 10 cm x 10 cm
Large seed stitch: 15 st x 20 r = 10 cm x 10 cm
Cable pattern: pattern repeat (= 27 st) = 13 cm wide
Hat:
Cable pattern: pattern repeat (= 17 st) = 9 cm wide, 24 r = 10 cm
Pattern: (varying instructions for size 42 - 46 indicated in brackets)
Back:
Cast on 95 (107) st and 2 est and k 6 cm (= 13 r) in the cuff pattern, start with a rsr. Now k 6 cm (= 12 r) in the following stitch arrangement: est, 1 st ri twis. (in the wsr le twis.), 33 (39) st large seed stitch, 27 st cable pattern pullover, 33 (39) st large seed stitch, 1 st ri twis. (in the wsr le twis.), est. Then also knit the 1st st after and before the est in the large seed stitch. At a total height of 62 (67) cm (= 125 (135) r), c off the middle 25 (27) st for the back neckline and end both sides separately. For the inside shaping of the neckline, c off another 2 x 6 st i. e. 2nd r. At the same time, at a total height of 62 (67) cm, c off 1 x 8 (9) st and another 2 x 8 (10) st i. e. 2nd r obs for the shoulder slant. Finish the 2nd side working backwards.
Front:
Work the same way as the back, however 6 cm shorter. k the cuff pattern as for the back and then continue working in the following arrangement: est, 34 (40) st large seed stitch, 27 st cable pattern pullover, 34 (40) st large seed stitch, est. At a total height of 51 (56) cm (= 103 (113) r), c off the middle 25 (27) st for the front neckline and end both sides separately. For the inside shaping of the neckline, c off i. e. 2nd r another 1 x 5 st, 1 x 3 st, 1 x 2 st and 2 x 1 st. At the same time, at a total height of 56 (61) cm (= 113 (123) r), c off 1 x 8 (9) st and another 2 x 8 (10) st i.e. 2nd r obs for the shoulder slant. Finish the 2nd side working backwards.
Sleeves:
Cast on 39 (42) st and 2 est and k in the cuff pattern, start with a wsr and continually rep. only the st from * between the est. At a total height of 10 (8) cm (= 21 (17) r), incr. 1 st obs for the sleeve slants (= at the start of the row after the est and at the end of the row before the est, k 1 st ri twis. from the horizontal yarn). Rep. these increases another 3 (5) x i. e. 20th (14th) r (= 49 (54) st), in the process continue to k the pattern over the increased st. At a height of 46 (49) cm (= 93 (99) r), c off the st straight, in the process k the st as they appear. Work the 2nd sleeve in the same way.
Completion:
Close one shoulder seam flat. For the collar, knit 81 (89) st and 2 est from the edges of the neckline and k 6 cm (= 13 r) in the cuff pattern, start with a wsr and continually rep. only the st from * between the est. Then c off all st, in the process k the st as they appear. Close the 2nd shoulder seam and collar seam flat. Attach the sleeves and stretch a little when sewing (see section sketch). Also close the lateral and sleeve seams flat, in the process do not completely close the seam for the lateral slit. On the front, the bottom 6 cm are left open; on the back, the bottom 12 cm are left open.
Hat:
The hat is knit in rd. Cast on 75 st, distribute over 4 needles of the needle set and k 3.5 cm (= 8 rd.) in the cuff pattern, in the process incr. 10 st in the last rd. as follows: after the 4th, 10th,19th, 25th, 34th, 40th, 49th, 55th, 64th and 70th st, knit 1 st ri twisted from the horizontal yarn (= 85 st). Then work 35 rd. in the cable pattern hat (= 5 x pattern repeat = k 17 st). At a total height of 43 rd., decr. as follows:
44th rd. (= 4th cable pattern row): 1 st ri twis.,* k tog. 2 st le, 4 st ri, 1 st le, 1 st ri twis., 1 st le, 4 st ri, k tog. 2 st le, k tog. 2 st ri twis., from * rep., k tog. the last st of the rd. with the 1st st of the rd. ri twis. (= 70 st)
45th rd.: * 1 st le, 4 st ri, 1 st le, 1 st ri twis., from * rep.
46th rd.: 1 st le, * 4 st ri, k tog. 3 st covered (= sl. 1 st, k tog. 2 st le, pull slipped st over this), from * rep., end with sl. 1 st, k tog. the last st of the rd. with the 1st st of the rd. le, and pull the slipped st over this (= 50 st)
47th rd.: * 4 st cable 1 (see knitting chart), 1 st le, 4 st cable 2, 1 st le, from * rep.
48th rd.: * k tog. 2 st ri, k tog. 2 st ri, 1 st le, from * rep. (= 30 st)
49th rd.: * 2 st ri, 1 st le, from * rep.
50th rd.: * k tog. 2 st ri, 1 st le, from * rep. (= 20 st)
51st rd.: * 1 st ri, 1 st le, from * rep.
52nd rd.: always k tog. 2 st ri (= 10 st)
Sew together these remaining 10 st with the thread. If you wish, make a pompom and sew it to the hat.
