Pattern: (varying instructions for size 40/42 indicated in brackets)
Back:
Cast on 51 (56) st plus 2 est, begin with a wsr and work in seed stitch. After 58 (59.5) cm (= 109 (113) r) at the end position, in the following rsr for the back neckline c off the middle 17 (20) st and end both sides separately. For the inside shaping, in each 2nd r c off 2 x 1 st, then c off the remaining 16 (17) shoulder stitches straight. Finish the 2nd side working backwards.
Front:
Work the same way as the back, however 7 cm shorter. For the deeper neckline already after approx. 47 (48.5) cm (= 89 (93) r) at the end c off the middle 7(10) st in the following wsr and end both sides separately. For the inside shaping of the front neckline, c off in each 2nd r 1 x 3, 1 x 2 and 2 x 1 ST in a total height of approx. 54 (55.5) cm (= 103 (107) r) the remaining 16 (17) c off shoulder stitches straight. Finish the 2nd side working backwards.
Sleeves:
Cast on 24 (28) st plus 2 est. Begin with a wsr and work in ribs. Thereby, for the sleeve slants 8 x in each 8th r obs increase by 1 st each, by knitting according to the pattern 1 st ri, or respectively le twisted from the horizontal yarn at the beginning of the row after the est and at the end of the before the est (= 42 (46) st). In a total height of approx. 48 (50) cm (= 81 (85) r) c off all st straight. Work the 2nd sleeve the same way.
Completion:
Close 1 shoulder seam flat. For the turtleneck, knit 74 (80) st from the neckline approx. and k in rsr and wsr approx. 20 cm (= 34 r) ribs. Then c off all st loose, as they appear. Close the 2nd shoulder seam with the lateral edge of the turtleneck flat. Insert the sleeves. Also close the lateral and sleeve seams flat, thereby leave an approx. 5 cm long slit open below on the sides. Crochet around the turtleneck with loops as follows: 1 ch, * 30 sl st, 1 ch in the next but one st, 20 st st, 1 ch in the next but one st, from * rep., until crocheted around the entire turtleneck.
