Usage:
Scarf: approx. 400 g
Hat: approx. 100 g
Needles:
Scarf: 1 pair of needles size 3,5 mm - 4,5 mm or size needed to achieve given tension.
Hat: 1 set of double pointed needles size 3,0 mm - 4,0 mm or size needed to achieve given tension.

Scarf:
Half Fisherman’s Rib: (amount of sts multiple of 2 plus 1 plus 4 selvedge sts).
Row 1 (WS): sl 2 p-wise (= 2 selvedge sts), * k 1, sl 1 p-wise, yo, rep from * cont. End row with k 1, sl 2 p-wise (= 2 selvedge sts).
Row 2: k 2 (= 2 selvedge sts), * p 1, k next st along with its yarn over tog, rep from * cont. End row with p 1, k 2 (= 2 selvedge sts)
These 2 rows establish the pattern. Rep cont.
Hat:
Rib Patt: (amount of sts multiple of 6)
In rnds: alt k 3, p 3 in each rnd.
Tension:
22 sts and 42 rows to 10 cm meas unstretched over Half Fisherman’s Rib patt using size 4 mm needles or size needed to achieve given tension.
40 sts and 30 rows to 10 cm meas unstretched over Rib patt using size 3,5 mm needles or size needed to achieve given tension.
Instructions:
Scarf:
Cast on 55 sts and work in Half Fisherman’s Rib patt. Beg 1st row as WS row. Work straight until scarf meas. 200cm ending with a WS row. Next row: cast off all all sts in patt. Weave in ends.
Hat:
Using 4 double pointed needles cast on 120 sts with 30 sts per needle. Close round being careful not to twist the sts and work in rib patt for 25 cm (75 rnds).
Next rnd (rnd 76): * k 3, p 2 tog, p1, rep from * to end. = 100 sts.
Rnds 77 - 79: * k 3, p 2, rep from * to end.
Rnd 80: * sl 1, k 1, psso, k 1, p 2, rep from * to end. = 80 sts.
Rnds 81 - 83: *k 2, p 2, rep from * to end.
Rnd 84: * k 2, p 2 tog, rep from * to end. = 60 sts.
Rnds. 85 - 86: * k 2, p 1, rep from * to end.
Rnd 87: * k 2 tog, p 1, rep from * to end. = 40 sts.
Rnds 88 - 89: * k 1, p 1, rep from * to end.
Rnd 90: k 2 tog to end. = 20 sts.
