Needle size:
Circular knitting needle 3.0 - 4.0
Crocheting needle 3.0 - 3.5
Sample:
plain right: RSR: ri S, BR: le S
Edge stitches: In the RSR at the row start and row end, knt. ri, in the BR at the row start and row end, knt. le, pull the threads tightly.
Accented cast offs of right working edge: 1 ES, knt. tog. 2 S ri, then end the R according to the pattern
Accented cast offs of the left working edge: knt. up to 3 S before the row end, knt. tog. 2 S ri pulled over. (= knt. 1 S as to ri, drop, knt. 1 S ri, then pull over the lifted S), 1 ES
Crotched trim (herringbone pattern in Rd., stitch number divisible by 6):
Knt. in Rd. according to crotchet pattern. The number outside right mark the Rd. Start with the S before the pattern set at the round start marked with the arrow, always rpt. the pattern set and end with 1 SS. Crotchet the 1st - 3rd Rd. 1 x.
Crotchet the trim directly to the bottom edge of the dress, in the 1st Rd, start with 1 SS sideways, 2 CS as a substitute for the 1 fS and then alternating 1 fS each in the following 6 S of the cast on edge and skip 1 S. Make sure that the total stitch number is divisible by 6 (if needed, skip 1 S every now and then already after 5 fM in the cast on edge) and end with 1 SS in the 2nd substitute CS of the round start. In the 2nd Rd., substitute the first 3x rod with 5 CS and end the Rd. with 1 SS in the 3x rod of the round start. Start the 3rd Rd. with 2 CS as a substitute for the 1st fS, prepare each of the following fS around the CS of the front Rd. but in the unw. tog. 3x rod, of the front Rd. End the 3rd Rd. with 1 SS in the 2nd starting CS.
Colour sequence:
Stitch assault and the first 45 (47) R Cl. 13, then 48 (50) R Cl. 28, Cl. 12 and Cl. 14, 52 (54) R Cl. 02
Stitch test (plain right):
24 S x 29 R = 10 cm x 10 cm
Instructions:(differing information for the sizes 38/40 are in brackets)
Back:
Cast on 111 (120) S and 2 ES in Cl. 13, start with a BR and knt. plain right in the specified colour sequence. In a total height of 26 (27) cm (= 75 (79) R) for the hip slant, drop each 1 S accented in the following RSR. (= 111 (120) S). rpt. these drops another 8 x in each 6th R (= 95 (104) S). In a total height of 46 (48) cm (= 133 (139) R) for the side slant, pick up each 1 S both sides again in the following RSR. (= at the row start after the ES and at the row end before the ES, knt. each 1 S interlaced from the cross stitch) (= 97 (106) S). rpt. these pickups again 3 x in each 14th R (= 103 (112) S). In a total height of 66 (68) cm (= 191 (197) R) for the sleeve holes boths. co. 1 x 3 (4) S and then in each 2nd R again 2 x 2 S and 5 x 1 S. (= 79 (86) S). In a total height of 79 (82.5) cm (= 229 (239) R), co. the middle 35 (38) S for the back neckline and end both sides separately. For the inner curvature in each 2nd. R, co. another 1 x 3 S, 1 x 2 S and 3 x 1 S. In a total height of 83 (86.5) cm (= 241 (251) R), co. the remaining 14 (16) shoulder stitches straight. The second side mirror-inverted.
Front
Work in the same way as the back part, but for the lower neckline, already at the height of 68 (70.5) cm (= 197 (205) R), co. the middle 21 (24) S M and end both sides separately. For the inner curvature in each 2nd. R, co. another 1 x 4 S, 1 x 3 S, 2 x 2 S and 4 x 1 S. Co. the remaining 14 (16) shoulder stitches at the same height as the back part. The second side mirror-inverted.
Finishing:
Close the side seams with the mattress stitch. Close the shoulder seams. Crotchet around the armhole and neckline edges in Cl. 02 with 1 Rd. fS and 1 Rd. crab stitches (= fS from left to right). Crotchet around the bottom edge with the crotcheted trip in Cl. 13.
